What is Left Field NoVa?
Left Field NoVa is a personal blog where I attempt to navigate the complexities of the Trump Administration. As the admin “floods the zone” with Executive Orders, I take a look at how these actions are designed to mislead the average American. I want to try to explain why the actions are misleading and how they are likely to affect the American people.
Facts and Feelings
I firmly believe we should always look at the facts, not the feelings. But the truth is we always look for facts that reinforce our feelings. Instead, I look at “Policy vs Values” where I am happy to agree to disagree on how, but I will not yield on why we are doing something.
Am I biased?
Short answer: Yes. The name of the site should give you a clue.
Long answer: I grew up in west Georgia before heading to college up north, working out west in Seattle, Portland, and LA, and eventually I settled down in Alexandria, VA. I have been close to the entire political spectrum from the most bigoted and casually racist to the bleeding heart liberals and everything in between. My experiences have landed me firmly left of center where “both sides” annoy me in various ways
Are am I rambling to myself?
Most definitely. I have no real expectation that anyone reads or agrees with what I write, but it feels good to get it off my chest. And Lord knows I can use anything to feel good about these days.
